Jesus Maria Quiñones School

Our school is considered a historical monument. It was built in 1929. Named after Jesus M. Quiñones that was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in the year 1897. On October 29, 1897 when he was just seventeen years old, he became an elementary school teacher. He later became the principal of the Labra School in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He was the owner and editor of a newspaper called "El Estudiante" or in English "The Student". Jesus Maria Quiñones was also the first to organize interschool games. The Mayor of San Juan, Dona Felisa Rincón de Gautier honored this man by naming our school after him.
